Nächstes Battlefield: Eines der ambitioniertesten EA-Projekte aller Zeiten

In einer kürzlich veröffentlichten Erklärung hat Andrew Wilson, CEO von Electronic Arts, den kommenden Battlefield Titel als eines der ehrgeizigsten Projekte des Unternehmens bezeichnet. Diese Aussage unterstreicht die hohen Erwartungen und den enormen Aufwand, den EA in die Entwicklung dieses neuen Titels investiert. Mit dem nächsten Battlefield Titel strebt EA also allem Anschein danach eines der ambitioniertesten und innovativsten Spiele der Unternehmensgeschichte zu schaffen. Wie EA und den daran beteiligten Studios dies gelingen will, erfahrt ihr nachfolgend.

Ein neuer Maßstab für die Battlefield-Reihe

Vorne hinweg mal, gibt es eine Ausschreibung zu einem Character Artist – Ripple Effect

Das Merkmal das ich hier ansprechen möchte, ist das 3D body/costume scanning in Verbindung mit den Outfits.

Man könnte dazu jetzt die Vermutung äußern, könnte es sich hierbei um verschiedene Charaktere handeln die man selbst etwas Anpassen kann oder es sich um eine Vielzahl von auswählbaren Charakteren handelt, wobei das dann einem Hero / Battle-Royal Shooter mit Skins entsprechen würde ggf.  thematisiert im militärischen Bereich, siehe dazu Anhang als grobe Veranschaulichung.

 

Zu der Floskel:
Bei BF 2042 war das auch so etwa der Fall, nur das es da nämlich anders hieß:
The game takes full advantage of the power of next generation platforms to bring massive immersive battles to life with more players than ever before.
und
Full power of next-gen platforms to ensure this is ‘exactly’ the game that Battlefield fans want to play.
And he also says that the next Battlefield will be a return to full-out military warfare.

Seine Finale Worte waren damals:
DICE is creating our next Battlefield game with never before seen scale.

Also im Grunde genommen hat er dies sage und schreibe 4x betont.

Und jetzt zu BF6/ 2025:
“One of the most ambitious projects in our history”.

Bei dem nächsten Titel könnte er dann damit argumentieren:

• The next gen Battlefield experience will be fascinating with what we have achieved with all the available technology that currently exists.
• We are taking Battlefield to the next level and the immersion offers Battlefield an experience never felt before.

Jedenfalls ist die Liste lang an Möglichkeiten und somit könnten diese Floskeln an Versprechungen, Behauptungen und andere Parolen noch weiter ausgebaut werden und an den Spieler kundtun.

Möchte ja nicht abstreiten, das dieser kommende Titel das Feedback aufgenommen hat, aber es besteht eben auch minimal die Tendenz das dieser Titel etwas anders wird als erwartet. Da einfach neue Trends angesagt sind und ein Rückschritt möchte man sozusagen vermeiden.

Vielleicht sollten sich die Jungs mal angucken, was Delta Force gerad richtig macht! Steuerung, Movement, Customizing, Gameplay, Map Design…

Ich zock gerad die Alpha ubd feier das Spiel hart… und das wird F2P. Battelfield muss sich nicht neu erfinden, sondern einfacb die Stärken von BF3 und BF4 fortführen und verfeinern.
